Being called into the ministry at the age of 20, Pastor Josh Brown left the comforts of a 9-5 job to attend John Wesley College and prepare for a full-time call to pastoral ministry. While there, Josh survived two years of working with middle school kids at Kernersville Wesleyan Church. He served as a small group leader and Sunday school teacher, before being called to work together with Pastor Brian Powell as a Youth/Associate Pastor at Union Cross Church.

Pastor Josh is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary.  His ministry focus at Raleigh First Nazarene shifted from youth ministry in 2010 and he became the Children & Family Ministries Pastor.  His position entails overseeing the Children’s Ministry at Raleigh First, as well as providing collaborative leadership for the family with RFN’s Men’s and Women’s Ministries.  Pastor Josh’s heart beats for the family and his passion is to build spiritually strong families.
